Anyone happen to be familiar with Microsoft Access

I have a simple database with 2 tables that are related. I am trying to make a “data access page” using fields from those 2 tables. It works fine (displaying the data), but I wanna be able to update the data live from the webpage. It allows me to do so but makes me choose between the 2 tables – making one of them the “unique table”. That makes it so that I can only update half the form from the webpage.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

I appreciate any help,
Thank You.

I'd just advise adjusting the structure of the database to avoid the problem.

@iamlucky13Jun 25.2004 — I suppose consolidating the two tables is not an option?

What about two database calls, one to each table, and using your script to put the data together? I don't know if it's possible in access, but it's what I'd do in SQL.

Sounds more like a server issue then the access issue because idealy you would be controlling your data with a server side script... I am not a big user of stored procedures or anything like that. The tree why not post something meaning full instead of ms bashing? What are you using, asp, php, asp.net, what? Access data bases are very easy to handle and update with a server side language -- which is what you should be using, about as easy as anything else. I suggest popping over to the asp or the .net forum if you have asp or asp.net on your server. The downside to access is that it is a file based db so thats not as secure as a server db like sql server, and it will not run as fast as a server db either. But for small data projects access will work fine.
