@SeawitchFeb 06.2011 — #Some keywords like UK, United Kingdom etc would help, but I would start by e mailing your url to UK friend's and stir up a bit of traffic for google to latch onto.
Make it a site called .co.uk and not a.com
My own host is US based but my best results are on google UK, everytime theres something newsworthy added I e mail the pages link to my friends.
@Jarrod1937Feb 07.2011 — #You can also set your geotarget setting in google webmaster tools to target the uk. Without this setting set i believe they use your servers location as the target. So if you're hosting in the USA but targeting the Uk, it will target the USA by default.
