I keep reading that somewhere between 10-18% of all browsers either don’t support JavaScript or have it turned off. I never read why. Obviously there are some people that won’t upgrade their old browsers either due to lack of computer skills, or because they think Netscape 2 rocks. But there’s got to be more to it than that. There must be people that actively disable JavaScript on purpose….why? Is it disabled people? Does JavaScript pose problems for people with certain disabilities? Are there new browsers that still don’t support JavaScript, like the text only browsers, or wireless browsers? Who is this 10-18% that don’t use JavaScript?
