How to create a web search engine (Like Google,Yahoo etc.))

Hi to all the web masters…

I dont know to ask this question, but just anxious to know how things works with these…

All of the internet users are aware of the search engines… I am very anxious to know how these search works.. Is this something like a search written using PHP or some other language?? Which programming language they use to perform this search.. ???

Is this something possible?? ???

The internals of a good search engine is a very wide topic. If you want a good free alternative, look for Apache Solr or Nutch which uses the Apache Lucene engine underneath. They are all top-level projects in Apache.
