IEXPLORER.EXE won’t shut down

Oh darn, I’m breaking the no-general-computer-support-questions rule ?

Internet Explorer is being an asshole, as usual. For some reason, whenever I log onto windows, IEXPLORER.EXE starts up (in the background) and it is impossible to shut it down. If I go CTRL>ALT>DELETE, and try to shut it down, it does, but then it reopens a couple more of them ? I searched Google, but couldn’t find anything… anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it?

Start > Run > type in: MSCONFIG

Click the startup tag and uncheck it. Click Apply and restart. That's how I managed to remove my adware...

The task manager being the thing on the very bottom right? You should be able to right click on the icon and then delete it from there.

and dl RegCleaner. It used to be free, but it now costs like $30 but they have a 30 day trial. It is a very good program and allows u to remove things from start very easily. So see if that works.

It also sounds like u could have a virus. So maybe try for that as well. The best i have found is AVG Anti-Virus at http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php

@lynnSep 07.2004 — mirosoft i use there programs becuase it runs allmost all my programs & pluse i cant ask them for help there they the same group that send out ctfmon.exe it dam ms sprware just like bargains.exe or jee_fo so i like the programs hate the compeny & spyware/adware they send out computers need to be like book ownly u should read it not compenys adware to put a long story short i can fix or get help without them or lagging dum look at u spyware carp !
