META tag problem

First Id just like to say Hello!!!

Ok so I got the basics down on my site and now Im working on MEta tags so google and everything can crawl it. BUT i am having trouble,

below is the code that I have. it says its not registering right.

The site is xml/ xhtml. Please ignore the content just look at the structure

Having the correct markup and content are probably more important to spiders.

@felgallMay 10.2007 — Looks more like HTML to me. If it were XHTML then the tag names would be in lowercase and all the tags would be closed.

Have something worth saying, say it well and mark it up properly, get a bunch a reputable people to link to your site and all will be well.
