What Makes It Different

Unlike traditional editors with AI bolted on, Cursor was designed from the ground up around AI-native workflows. Its Agent mode can autonomously plan and execute multi-file changes, run terminal commands, and fix its own errors — all with deep understanding of your codebase context.

Plans

The free Hobby tier includes limited Agent requests and Tab completions. Pro ($20/mo) unlocks extended limits, frontier models, MCPs, skills, hooks, and cloud agents. Pro+ ($60/mo) adds 3x usage across all models. Ultra ($200/mo) provides 20x usage and priority access to new features. Teams ($40/user/mo) adds shared workflows, SSO, and admin controls.

  • Agent Mode — autonomous multi-file editing with terminal access
  • Tab Autocomplete — context-aware code completion that predicts multi-line edits
  • Background Agents — run coding tasks in cloud sandboxes
  • MCPs, Skills & Hooks — connect to external tools and customize AI behavior
  • Cloud Agents — offload tasks to run asynchronously
