Bitcoin blockchain, as we know it today, is fast overcoming the scalability challenge using layer 2 (lightning network). This is a great milestone for developers to build DApps on the blockchain. Hitherto, ethereum became the foundation of pioneering smart contracts, later followed by other blockchains, including Polygon and others.
