Bitcoin Trilemma and Smart Contracts

Bitcoin blockchain, as we know it today, is fast overcoming the scalability challenge using layer 2 (lightning network). This is a great milestone for developers to build DApps on the blockchain. Hitherto, ethereum became the foundation of pioneering smart contracts, later followed by other blockchains, including Polygon and others. If you have ideas on how to build on Bitcoin blockchain, I would love to hear about your success and challenges.

The Bitcoin Trilemma refers to the challenge of achieving decentralization, security, and scalability within the Bitcoin network. Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code.
