RARGH!!! DHTML menu spanning frames??

so i go on the web looking to see if theres a way to make a dhtml menu that can span frames (explained a bit better here: http://webxpertz.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15914) and OF COURSE since i got like 5 google results, the ONE RESULT that appears to have a solution has a OUTDATED LINK! everything else consists of people asking the question and getting no responses!!

HELP!!! AARRRRRGGGGGHHHH

just in case, im posting my problem, even though its outlined in the link above:

i want a menu that if it expands over a frame (horizontal in my case) the frame does not go UNDER the break, but instead goes over.

is it possible?!

@felgallFeb 28.2006 — To be able to have a menu that spans frames you just need to reference the right frame when displaying the different pieces of the menu. Getting the pieces in the different frames to lign up will probably be a big problem. Much easier to not use frames (they is only a real reason for using frames in 0.0001% of situations anyway - the rest of the time there is a better solution that doesn't use frames).

@LaunchnetFeb 28.2006 — I know my way is not what you are looking for, but it works very good for my application. Look at www.openoursite.com

in my exepriences on this forum, every time i ask a question, i get an opinion, not an answer!!!! i didnt ask for a workaround that has nothing to do with my situation!!!

as for the response that was somewhat helpful, where can i get some information on doing what you've suggested??

all others, if you dont have info directly relating to this question, please refrain from answering!! YOURE NOT HELPING!!!

@the_treeFeb 28.2006 — I'd like to note that just because something isn't the awnser you wanted, doesn't stop it from being an awnser. If you give us your situation then we'll probably be able to sort out your menu and your frames issue in one fowl swoop.

@Angry_Black_ManauthorMar 01.2006 — youre absolutely correct in that the resposnes are still answers. besides felgall to a slight degree, all the responses so far have been completely and utterly useless answers. but yes, they were answers nonetheless. so noted.

however, answers should be directed in the nature of the question. the uslessness of these answers stems from the fact that NO WHERE in the questions were these responses requested. it boggles my mind how those were construed helpful.

instead, someone felt they had to respond with useless information that would serve only to frustrate and waste time. i never asked if it was a good idea to use frames. i never asked for a workaround. i asked two distinct questions of "is it possible, and if so, how?"

also, its now apparent you didnt read my post:

    done. twice.
