internal search engine

I was wondering if it’s possible to create an internal search engine for the company I work for. We use an internal webpage that acesses html. documents. I would like to create a portion that an employee could type in a part number and the search engine pulls up the folder their requesting. Is this possible?

@pcthugMar 14.2006 — Seeing as it's local, you're going to have to use a client-side SE. Client-side SE usually consist of Javascript w/ a XML Database.

Or you could go all out and install a local server (I highly reccommend [URL=www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html]Xampp[/URL]). You would then be able to work with more powerful and reliable server-side SE.
