Google’s description of our site is incorrect

Hello all.

My company’s site’s description on Google is incorrect. It appears to be a description either from an older version of our site or from the meta tags of our “sister” site. Our new site design contains no meta description.

What is the easiest way for us to correct this? Since Google does not care about meta tags, where is this coming from?

Thanks.

@KDLAFeb 03.2006 — It's coming from your metatags: Google DOES use them. Send a link to the page in question and I'll take a look at your metadata.

@j-khoaFeb 05.2006 — yeah, first things, google does uses meta tags, so maybe you should take off the meta tag to your sister site, and put meta tags on you newer one.

Google will automatically fetch keywords from your site/user's search and build a description from that
