Problems with IE caching and SSL

I want to force IE to cache a page resource along with its graphics over an SSL connection. The main reason is so that when the user pushes the the back button, they don’t see the classic “Waring: Page has expired” notice.

This, of course, works in Gecko browsers, but not IE. I’m using PHP’s header() routine in combination with the ini_set() routine for this.

Any Ideas?
