only background opacity

I’m having a problem with opacity. My css.

.tborder {
filter:alpha(opacity = 25);
-moz-opacity:.25;
opacity:.25;
}

It works but the only problem is that the text in the table is also transparent. Is there a way to work around this. Keep in mind I this is for a skin and I don’t want to change the acual coding too much.
