big image which changes a fixed width. How to fix it?

We work on a web where some big images with different widths are displayed in the header of a catalog, just one image for each section. Most of them fit in the specified width of the container, but one of them is wider than it, and it makes all the content to expand despite having a fixed width, which a priori needs to stay fixed for every block to fit in the layout.

The simple solution of reducing the image is not considered because our boss wants this image to be displayed in its original size, which makes it look sharper (marketing issues  ).

So, any advice on this please?

He cannot have both. Does he have pointy hair?
