The project – Creation of a noun/name translator.
Description.
A simple translator for nouns/names. For use in translating single words that will be used for floorplans (e.g Chair – Chaise). The system will need to run in php on a website with a mysql database backend.
Distinct areas
Front end – Basic unstyled pages ready for redesign by web designer as follows (or as appropriate)
• Interface page – a box to type in a word and hit ‘translate’
• Results page – the results of the translation (translated word or notification there is no available translation)
• Private admin system – enabling an administrator to add new words / translated results. (note the system will only ever contain a single language – so options will be either trans from lang A to lang B, or from lang B to lang A)
• A membership system – allowing visitors to join the site. Translations will only be available to members. Membership needs to be time dependent – 1 week free followed by the need to pay an annual membership (and thus the ability to output membership info and requirements to a payment gateway and update the membership details upon a successful transaction/callback to the site.
