I’m not really sure if it’s a project or whatever but let me tell you what is going on. So i’ve created a site on the show smallville and in one part of the site it has all the characters that have been on the show. Now if you can imagine that’s a lot of actors/actresses. Now instead of just having all of them one one page where you’d have to scroll forever to find someone, I created a navigation system where you select which season you wish to check out and then which episode you wish to find some of the characters in. Now the problem is that in order to do this with html i’d have to cut and paste every person in that selected episode and that could take a very, very long time to do for 80-90 some episodes. Now if I had some sort of PHP/MySQL or something where it would just pull the information of the characters in that episode and put them into that page it would not only be less work but would be much more efficient. Unfortunatly I myself only know very little when it comes to php, and when I say very little I mean it. So if you’re still reading and you’d like to help me out contact me through a pm so i can tell you just what i am trying to do. It’d be like you have a page that contains picture links to each episode and then when you click on that link it takes you to a page called characters3-1.php (characters of season 3 episode 1) and from the MySQL database or some such, it pulls the list of people from season 3-1 and their bio/stats. Hard to explain but if anyone can help me out i’d appreciate it very much. if you’d like to see the list of characters so far you can find it at <www.michaelpeteuil.com/character_guide.htm> (without the < >, don’t want it to be a live link as the site is not ready for launch and the links don’t work) that is a list of the characters. A concern is will it style the same if it’s being pulled from a database? Thank you for any help you can give me.
