Space between cells

I have started within the past two months learning html and css.

I started a site but i can work out how to have the cells touch completely, there is always a space between them.

I take it there is a css code to stop this, i have tried changing the border, padding and spacing to 0px but it still doesnt work, any ideas?

@mtllcrckmnauthorAug 08.2005 — it is actually a small table for actually holding data, the reason theyre supposed to be used for, everything else (including the table) is positioned, sized and formatted with css.

Any help would be appreciated

the css is applied to the td (cell) which is also classed, i could post the code if that would help?
