Can anyone recommend a good chat room program? I’d like to put one on my commercial site. It would be great if it had a free trial so I could set it up before having to convince management it’s worth the cash.
Something easy to use would be a plus, I’ve never done this. Thanks!
If cold fusion and php aren't your thing, then go to the hotscripts main page (www.hotscripts.com) and select a language of your choice. A few clicks and you should be on the chat scripts pages for each language.
@havikMar 27.2003 — #No problem, you can find lots if you do a google search for "chat scripts". There's alot of cgi chat scripts, if cgi is allowed by management. I know how that is! ?
@havikMar 27.2003 — #Sounds like a cgi question. Ask in that forum and I'm sure you'll get meaningful responses. Sorry, cgi is where I cut myself off until I can understand it first.
@MaineWebGirlauthorApr 01.2003 — #I got to thinking, what if whey I wanted was more of a forum than a chat room. I don't know how much of a differenct there is, but I found a really good forum here for free: http://www.bravenet.com/. You can get it ad-free for a couple dollars a month.
It is easier than a lot of the chat programs, especially for someone like me who doesn't know much at all about programming.
Thought it might be useful to somebody who might stumble on this thread.....
