Searching in data base

Dear All

i made seach page by php & used form to enter word
to searc in data base it’s working

but??!!
if i changed the encoding of the page from charset=ISO-8859-1″
to charset=windows-1256″ i can’t found any results of search

what’s the problem please help me ?
i want to search of the words but use charset=windows-1256″ encoding

@ShrineDesignsApr 10.2005 — ISO-8859-1 is a standardized character encoding, and i don't think windows-1256 is

if you use mysql, mysql uses iso-8859-1 by default for encoding stored data

or it could be that you are not escape curtain characters

i can search my site by similar means and it works in different encoding

and in search page i used other charset

the encoding must be same in inserted data in database and search page

it's working now
