Flash – Ideas On Optimizing For Search Engines?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on effective ways to optimize a flash site for the search engines? Is it still problematic for search engines to read any content within the flash files?

@_lt_Eddie_gt_Apr 01.2005 — Google [I]can[/I] index Flash, as long as it's in a text field and not vector/raster. The problem with Flash is you cannot recreate a document hierarchy like headers, paragraphs etc so the search engines soak the text up but don't expect it to even come close to HTML.

create a div (CSS) and put all your text content in it. Then give it an attribute "z-index: -1;"

This way it is not visible to visitors, but only to search-engines...
