I was wondering if anyone has any information on effective ways to optimize a flash site for the search engines? Is it still problematic for search engines to read any content within the flash files?
@PeOfEoMar 08.2005 — #Don't use flash... No flash cannot get at the content that is within a flash file. Sites made completely with flash are made completely inaccessible to those using nongraphical browsers (search engine spiders are text based of course).
@_lt_Eddie_gt_Apr 01.2005 — #Google can index Flash, as long as it's in a text field and not vector/raster. The problem with Flash is you cannot recreate a document hierarchy like headers, paragraphs etc so the search engines soak the text up but don't expect it to even come close to HTML.
