New site needs direction.

I am planning on designing a website. I am going to post interesting things there, funny stuff, games I have made, there’ll be a forum to, n other stuff, i dont know. But how do I really give it purpose. I want people to go to this website to achieve a purpose. Kinda like the way [url]www.ocremix.org[/url] manages to get people from all around the world to submit artwork. How does one start a community like that? Cos thats really what I’m after, a community thing. I would just like some pointers in creating a site’s content. I have the whole design thing nailed down pretty well know, i can design just about anything i can envisage.

but please i would really appreciate your input no matter how useful i may or may not consider it to be.

post your sites URL in the sig of every forum you find and register for a huge no.

Spread throught word of mouth by addning new cont. all the time...

@NogDogFeb 06.2005 — It should be about something [i]you[/i] are passionate about. If it isn't, you won't want to spend the time and energy to keep updating it and working to make it better. If it is, then hopefully your passion and enthusiasm will show and attract others with the same interest. You have to choose based on your interests, not ours. (At least, that's my humble opinion.)

But above all, as said before, let it be your work. Don't change it so much to fit what anyone else wants. Just keep your own thing, and that will show in your work!
