IP and DNS

I know this is probably the wrong forum but I couldn’t find one specifically for internet problems.
I repeatedly get alerts from my firewall saying that a NetBIOSsession tried to enter my computer.
I’ve tracked two of these using the IP adresses my firewall gives me to Telepacific Communications in Los Angeles and ArosNet in Sault Lake City. And called both to inform them that someone is doing this.
My question is: is this normal to have these crop up everytime I go on the net…and…if it isn’t, what can I do about it to stop it?? ?
