Front Page

Hi there,
I’m a newby to this whole web design thing and apart from a two-day course am stumbling along by trial and error. Funny thing is, I’ve yet to meet an IT technician or help desk person who is knowledgable on Front Page. So here’s the thing….

I have an .asp page that I have updated. The old version is live on the website, but when I go to FTP it, everything appears to transfer as normal, but no change on the live site. I have before and since successfully updated other pages on the site, so I’m mystified as to why this particular page is giving me grief. I’m not even sure if it’s a front page issue or an ftp issue.

If someone could give me a few ideas to investigate in the right direction, I would be most grateful.

@NicodemasFeb 27.2003 — Make sure that you know where the file you're working on is going to, in regards to directory. Clear out your cache files, too.

I wonder if the following development will shed any light...

I deleted the .asp file I had changed and then FTP-ed the live page back into my webpage files (just for the fun of it). But, mystery of mysteries, the live site page showed up in my files with the changes I had tried to make earlier and had since deleted. The page remains unchanged on the website. This is all getting just a bit spooky for a non-techy girl.

@boojumFeb 28.2003 — then i would think your server isnt looking in that location for that file and you have another copy of it somewhere you have to update
