Am I on the right track?

G’day everyone, just had a few questions and hi as I only just found this site and it looks like it will be very helpful in my endeavors.

Basically I have a project that I want to complete but I’m just looking to clear a few things up.

It will basically be pulling data out of a db and allowing the user to view all records and other queries and also edit and update mainly one field with a number of options available.

I have written the application in C# previously which I have a good amount of experience but I am wanting to make it web based for a bit of fun and practice. I was thinking of using Php (which I have a very basic knowledge and js (very basic) and I am just wondering if this is the right path, preferably I would like it relatively ui based.

I have done a bit of work and have all of my data being displayed correctly and I can work with it a bit but I am just using HTML tables is this what I should be doing?

@cbVisionJul 25.2013 — I'm not by any means an ASP .Net expert, but if you're familiar with C# and a UI interface, I'm thinking this is the way you want to go.

@epic09authorJul 25.2013 — Thanks for the reply mate. I did think about asp. It looked to actually big a bigger learning curve for me with MVC but I might look more into it.
