where are the lines drawn on keyword relevance

I am using keyphrases on my site which pertain to my products in general. Can I use these phrases on my policy (ordering, returns, about us etc…) pages? Or would that be considered non-relevant. The keyphrases are relevant to my website and business as a whole, just not to each policy page.

@IntensityNov 07.2004 — If you are attempting to optimize your site by the use of Search Engine Optimization than you should target 1 - 2 keyword phrases per web page (Somewhere around 6 - 8 keywords).

You can add those keywords to other pages but to give you heads up that your Title, META keyword and META descriptions are somewhat of a summary for the spiders and bots.

If it finds your summary, and your content on that given web page does not reflect a good amount of density of the keywords you have listed, then it will not be considered revelant enough to rank high.

Try using different keyword phrase combinations for different pages. ?
