@davidbrentSep 23.2004 — #Good find indeed! Well i would feel better if Google announced plans to fund the Mozilla Corp. and help create newer versions of FireFox!
@MstrBobSep 24.2004 — #Hmm this idea is only good if Google does what the first article says, and uses the Mozilla browser and then customizes it. Then there'd be a real commercial, standards-supporting browser.

Well I'm sure we know of other companies who have attempted (done?) the same thing.
Plus since google went public this year they now have lots of money to play with, not to mention shareholders please.
I wonder how long it'll be before people are comparing Larry Page and Sergey Brin to satan? Then again, I guess some people already do.
@FangauthorSep 24.2004 — #Google will want to "sell" their browser to the corporate market.
I think recent changes to Mozilla would have stimulated, if not been initiated by, Google to use Mozilla in preference to IE.
Advertising is possible and the document.all detection would certainly be a plus for Corporate's!
Coincidence?
If Microsoft could use this patch on IE, then everyone would be happy! ?

@Robert_WellockSep 27.2004 — #Essentially it is bad idea unless they adhere to the speciations... Next they'll be doing web hosting, having managed to brainwash the general populace with their brand identity, as with GMail.
