I shunned at the idea of trying to learn another language until I was comfortable with Javascript. The code that I had seen for PHP seemed too difficult for me to learn very quickly so I put it off.
After spending hours and hours trying to learn cookies so I could transfer information to another page, with very little luck, I decided to check out PHP, just to see how difficult it is.
Within an hour, I had a working PHP script.

and it went surprisingly smooth.
I took a quick tour of PHP and now I wish I had learned it before working on Javascript. So any of you out there with a desire to learn Scripting, I recommend trying PHP first.
