How Make Sidebar Fixed

Hello guys,

I need some CSS help and will be vary happy if I find the answer here.
I’m redesigning the website of a local house clearance company and trying to make the sidebar fixed. This is very important because on the most pages the content is larger than the right sidebar and that makes the design to looks ugly. Please have a look at [URL=”http://gorubbishgo.co.uk/house-clearance-brompton/”]this page[/URL] ( right sidebar bottom) – there is white empty space which doesn’t look good. I forgot to mention that the website is built on WP with premium theme which I’m modifying.

Can you please help me to fix that – so the sidebar always will go to the bottom and the white space will be gone.

@jedaisoulDec 01.2016 — Hi and welcome to the site. Can we explain how to make a fixed sidebar? Yes. Can we help you modify a WP theme to fix the sidebar? Possibly, but that is a lot harder. Is it a good idea to fix the sidebar? No. Why? Because every site today needs to be responsive. Fixed sidebars (and headers) are just not acceptable when viewing a site on small-screen devices. Which may be why the sidebar was not fixed in the first place.

Perhaps you should consider an alternative? E.g. Filling the blank space with a neutral color, or, better still, with a background image?

@jedaisoulDec 07.2016 — I can't help you with modifying a WP theme as I do not use WP, but, in your case, the sidebar HAS to scroll anyway, because it is larger than the screen height.
