Process management client side

Hello! Im sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but its worth a try..

I own a company making animated explainer videos, and looking for a way to make it easier for our clients to follow the process.

Process:
Meeting/brief
script/storyboard
voiceover
animation
delivery.

Now we use email to communicate with the client in each step of the process, but there must be an easier way to do this? Eg. the client logs in, see where in the process we are, and is able to download, chat and comment in each step?

Is there a project management service that already lets you do this? Or can this be done by making a membership site on wordpress?
