Server 500 Error on all product page fetches

Hi Guys,

First post here and i’m kindly wondering if there’s anyone in here than can help up sort a big issue we have…

On 27th September we noticed all our products from our shopping feed were disallowed due to a server 500 error during the fetch.

We now have a number of people looking into why this is happening and here is what we have found so far…
•

This is not isolated to Google IPs

  •

Robots.txt file is not affecting this

  •

This is just on product pages. Categories, homepage etc are being fetched fine

  •

Our host provider can’t fetch the product URLs either from their test server

  •

There may be a ‘duplicate heading’ issue on the page that could be causing this ( i’m not sure what this means )

  •

Google themselves aren’t sure what the problem is since talking to a Google rep

  •

This is affecting all three of our sites that are on a multi site in Magento on the same theme

  •
Our sites are the following,

    www.britishbraces.co.uk
    www.physiotherapystore.com
    www.novadetox.co.uk

Does anyone have any ideas at all what this could be We are losing a lot of revenue hour by hour here and need to try and find a solution as fast as possible.

    Many thanks in advance,

    HJJ

@rtretheweySep 30.2016 — This isn't the kind of problem that can be solved without direct access to your server. Checking the error_log file for the site should be helpful in discovering the source of the issue. But if your staff can't solve the problem and you can't install a prior working version from back-ups, you need to hire someone to help you - preferably someone with significant experience with Magento.

@NogDogSep 30.2016 — Just to clarify: is it your site that ends up throwing the 500 error, or is that your web application is getting a 500 error during some cURL or other HTTP request to some external 3rd-party resource?
