@brad_jonesDec 09.2015 — The answer to the OP question really depends on what your objective is. Good quality content that is focused is the best guidelines. Add to that the idea of keeping it focused and not 'wordy'. Today's average reader has a short attention span, so you don't want to go too long or you will lose the reader.

From an SEO perspective, you still want good quality content that focuses on a topic. You do, however, also want to make sure you are including enough text in balance to what else is on your page. If you have a high ad ratio relative to your blog post, then it is likely to not be good.

In short, it should be as long as it takes to cover what you are trying to say. ?

@jay_rogersDec 21.2015 — The standard blogging length is 300-600 words, recommended by many “expert” bloggers. Good middle-ground for social shares and comments. Where the standard length for professional journalism, especially newspapers is 750 words. I find that it’s pretty good for getting links from other bloggers and shares on social media.

we need to engage the user by presenting the valued information in the form of text, images and videos.

@kite123Dec 31.2015 — hey, according to me what matters is we should provide the solution that is totally satisfactory and understandable. It doesn’t mean that length doesn’t matter,it too has importance,so, what I suggest is go for the brief solution but with to the point and exact perfect solution.

@richardstevensJan 03.2016 — I’ve got a splendid new copywriting client who’s asked me to write a series of blog posts for them, each around 300-600 words long. They’re probably following search engine optimization advice because generally the search engines like content at least 300 words long and they’re a medium-sized business with multiple blog writers, so guidelines are needed to keep the blog coherent.

@KalsoomJan 04.2016 — It depends on the topic and industry . no minimum , you can go with 1000 words limit.

@shumicpsJan 05.2016 — There is no limitation on writing blog content usually but yes it has to be good enough to let your topics be explained in a perfect way. Recently I have read somewhere that long like 1000 to 1500 words articles get much priority than the 500 words articles now a days. Having said that its totally depended upon the way you want to express your idea.

@shiny012Jan 11.2016 — The best length for a blog post is 1,600 words and it need a good quality content.

@Ambrose321Jan 11.2016 — Blog post should be of 700-800 words with good quality, informative and unique.

@Bruce_KenwayJan 28.2016 — I think around 1000 to 2000 words is the best. Short blog post will be marked as spam while long wont attract users.
