Best PHP Framework or CMS for Interactive Website Developer.

Hi Everybody. I love to build my websites in HTML, CSS and Javascript and I’d like to get advices as to what you guys think is the best PHP Framework or CMS for Developer to convert HTML websites into interactive websites. I know Drupal and WordPress but the I know them, I think they are made to build websites with modules (instead of from HTML). I would simply like a way to print the variables entered by a user into my HTML.

I mostly use bootstrap as an HTML framework and I’m thinking maybe Symfony 2 would work good for me ? (that being said, I don’t know anything about Symfony 2).

@NogDogFeb 14.2015 — As far as I'm concerned, the best PHP framework right now is Laravel; but it (or Symphony, for that matter) would have a steep learning curve if you're new to PHP and MVC-style programming. If that's the case, then you may be better off with a CMS, such a WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. Take a look at opensourcecms.com for lots of choices of different types of CMSs.

@r8rFeb 17.2015 — I second what NogDog has to say, except, I think the learning curve of Drupal is something I would not recommend taking on as a newbie. Start with Wordpress (I advise to skip Joomla altogether) and head then on to something like Drupal or Typo3. Wordpress is probably the system, which allows you to get into most quickly. Contao seems to be another solid but not to hard to learn option, as is Silverstripe – if you prefer more of a framework approach.

@louisbarber78Feb 17.2015 — If i have to give any recommendation, it would be Laravel, Yii and CodeIgnitor. They are the best in business.

I think there is a time limit after which a post may not be updated (except by mods/admins), something like 30 or 60 minutes. Also, there may be a restriction if you are a new member (less than x posts, where x is somewhere around 10, maybe?). Worst case, you can always click the "report post" icon and request a fix from a moderator. (Just remember we're not paid workers here, so we may not jump on it immediately. ? )
