Unable to get good rankings on Google? Please help?

I have been trying to get good rankings for some keywords which i removed from Google Keyword Planner but those keywords are not ranking in first 10 pages of Google.. Please help me what else should i do?.

I have tried Directories submission, signatures in Forums, social bookmarking, commenting..also the meta tags and everything is at proper place.. so what’s your say friends?
