doing nav menu using SSI

I’m currently redesigning my school website.

I’ve just redone the navigation menu using Brothercake from [url]http://www.udm4.com/[/url] as recommended by someone here (thanks!) and I’m very pleased with it.

However I want some way of having the menu in just one file and having it appear on every page of my site. Someone recommended SSI, but I’ve been reading about it and it seems that this should only be used for small amounts of information. Would my menu be too big, and if so what other method could I use?

Any other comments on the page much appreciated.

Thanks [/B][/QUOTE] I only keep content on my pages, proactically my whole layout is included on every page. Size is not a problem. I do my includes with asp.net since I run scripts on my pages too, but I could just as easily do it with plain old ssi (*.shtml).
