@ginerjmJan 20.2014 — Your tutor has had you create a database. I assume that you mean you have created tables within a db and now wish to access the data within them.

Has your tutor taught any language to use for this project? Any kind of programming tools? I ask because one doesn't just "make a front-end" - one has to write it using something. So - what tool do you plan to use?

@NogDogJan 20.2014 — I don't suppose you are allowed to just download phpMyAdmin, install it on your web server (if it's not already there), and point it to your database? ?

@ginerjmJan 20.2014 — As nogdog says - if you can download a copy of phpadmin that's the way to go. You can't 'program' with html. Don't know how c++ works with the web/MySQL. And 'a little bit of knowledge' of php won't be enough to build a reliable front-end for you db.

@NogDogJan 20.2014 — phpMyAdmin is a PHP-based web application designed to be a front end for the administration of a MySQL database. If you use PostgreSQL instead of MySQL, there is a very similar tool called phpPgAdmin. They provide a web-based GUI that allows you to do just about any database operation you might want to do.

@rmmillerjrJan 20.2014 — you might want to check out Django or ruby on rails, both have documentation and turorials on their sites that can pretty much guide you step by step to build a front end in about an hour, thats as simple as I can put it. You said you have knowledge of c++ so on a programming level your set. Forums are sweet for shooting the **** about dev, design and what not but if you're serious about getting into programming/coding/design or anything in this field (and its a really big field) being able to teach yourself a framework or preprocessor is vital especially now with the boom of new APIs and web standards. Keep at it and just remember if you arn't getting frustrated by learning this stuff then you aren't working hard enough, Goodluck.
