Can you design a PHP calculator using only PHP or would you need HTML for input??

I was asked this question in an interview recently and I told the guy, yes, you can make a PHP calculator using ONLY PHP.. Geez, I hope I was right..

@hastxMar 20.2013 — Was this an interview for a web designer type position? If he was trying to assess your distinction of the different web technologies...For that purpose I think he was probably looking for "no". Most calculators are done with HTML and Javascript, technicalities aside they don't usually involve PHP...but again it all depends on the exact position being applied for.
