float? help

I’ve built my first wordpress site, and there’s something kicking the linky tools in my post to below where the right sidebar ends. I have a float: right on the sidebar and the linky tools links to their site, so I can’t see or adjust the code.

I also noticed that it does it for images from the old blog that I imported, but if I delete the div style=”clear” on those they’re OK. But since I can’t change the linky code, I don’t have any ideas.

Help?

@hotsaucencakeauthorNov 04.2011 — The problem is not in the sidebar but that the sidebar float is kicking things down in the main post.

I can fix it when it's happening to an image by deleting the <div style="clear: both;">, but when it happens to a linkup script (a tool to allow others to add links to your blog, usually in a theme) that I don't have control over, I don't know what to do. Since I changed my linkup host to someone who uses a different script, it's not a big issue at the moment, but is there any way I can avoid it in the future?
