Steps needed to integrate a credit card payment system in site

Hi guys,

Am in a need , that i need to integrate a credit card payment system in website…i hav never done this before ..but i hav done paypal & google checkout… but credit card integration seems to me new….please tell me wat the pre-requiste needed to integrate credit card in web site… i already posted this problem in this forum…but dint get replies..Help me…thanks in advance…

@treeleaf20Jun 28.2011 — Are you saying you've integrated Paypal and Google Checkout into one of your websites or you've just used them before on other websites. I've personally only integrated Paypal into my website and it's pretty simple and they provide excellent support.

@criterion9Jun 29.2011 — You can do one of the more advanced options from Paypal to process the credit cards through them as well. Not much more difficult than the basic IPN integration.

Not true. You could do it that way or use one of the premium services through Paypal.

ccavenue, moneybookers, 2checkout, ebs, sagepay, linkpoint and yes paypal pro is one of them too. ?

There will not be a general documentation. You need to go through each provider's technical integration document to find out how to integrate your scripts with their own payment gateway. Paypal has sandbox and other gateways have TEST mode. You need to signup for an account with them and then turn on the TEST mode for doing the transaction testing. Plus are you targeting the users in India? since paypal has imposed very severe restrictions on users and transactions related to India recently.

thank u mate....how abt the ccavenue integration....? is there any restrictions for that..??
