Where is the best place to understand arrays?

I have been over and over w3schools which is normally good but I just don’t understand them.

Can anyone help?

@wbportFeb 08.2011 — #I define arrays at least 30 times in this earlier thread if you would like an example you can follow. Some are two dimensional and two arrays are sorted.
