Strange bug in Firefox?

Try load this page with Firsfox 2.
<html>
<head>
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>

<body>

<script type=”text/javascript” language=”javascript”>

alert();

</script>

</body>
</html>
The “alert();” statement doesn’t work, no pop-up dialog show up.

Change that statement to “alert(“Hello”);”, the dialog pop up.

I wonder is this some sort of bug in FF2? I used to place “alert()” statement in my program as a break point, seems that I have to type in something from now on.
