Custom search engine

I was thinking about putting a search engine script on my site (PhP, MySQL) and was looking at the one made by Wrensoft ([url]http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/[/url]).

So in reading their forum it appears that several people have issues using it because the “RLimitMEM” & “RLimitCPU” directives in the Apache configuration for the server are too restrictive. Too low a value will cause Apache to kill any script after it uses more than a certain amount of RAM or CPU time….a problem noted esp in Godaddy where I am currently hosting.

Anyone know of good web host that will support something like zoom and not limit the memory available?

Or is this even an issue? My site is only 75 pages currently…

@6StringGeekauthorJul 28.2010 — RESOLVED. "RLimitMEM" & "RLimitCPU" directives in the Apache configuration are not an issue unless your site gets too large to finish the search before you hit the wall.
