I’ve been using Hostgator now for a few months and I’m not satisfied. The site is slow [I](even after all kind of optimization)
Yesterday the server went down for over two hours. When it was up and going again I tried to upload a tiny light weight script which uses some queries to my databases at Hostgator. The script loaded as slow as the rest of my site, so the conclusion is [U]sloooow mysql.
Is there a good idea to use remote databases? Anyone with some Hostgator experience?
