Google doesn’t like the site!!!!

Hello

I’ve just finished a site and Google seems to think it’s ‘dangerous’ to view!!
I’ve designed quite a few sites and I’ve never had this problem (or even heard of it to be honest).

This message gets displayed under the page title in Google’s search results:
This site may harm your computer.
The message is a link and it takes you to a page that explains why the site might infect your computer.

My client got this message from Google:
The website at www.website.co.uk contains elements from the site 3bf.ru, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.

For detailed information about the problems with these elements, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for 3bf.ru.
Now I can assure you that there is nothing dodgy about the site at all so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of what on Earth could have happened here?

@whoauthorAug 23.2009 — Yes I've seen those pages 6StringGeek. I designed the web site myself and coded it. There is no threat to the public at all. So, I'm wondering how this site became tagged as 'dangerous'? Could the server it's on have been hacked do you think? (The server isn'y my own)

@6StringGeekAug 23.2009 — You could get that msg for numerous reasons. You could have gotten hacked, be on the same DNS server as a known malicious one, or be in the black hole list, caught up in a bogon list etc. Check your directories for anything you don't recognize and advise the provider of your situation. What's the URL?

There was an issue awhile ago with google classifying the whole interwebs as malicious, but i think they cleared that up..?

This might help: http://www.jasonmorrison.net/content/2008/fixing-a-this-site-may-harm-your-computer-warning-part-2-hidden-iframes/

@whoauthorAug 25.2009 — Thanks 6StringedGeek

I've sorted it out now. The server had been hacked and some malicious code was added to the home page (a div with display:hidden)

A bit of a worry really :eek:
