text in iFrame as var to php script

Hi,

Unsure if this would be the right area of the forums to post, but i think the answer to my question lies in javascript, so posted here.

I’m trying to create a rich text editor, where the text gets loaded in from a mysql database, and should, after editting in this editor, be loaded back to the database.

Loading the text in and the functions of this editor work fine, the problem lies in the sending it back to the mysql database. The “textarea” of the editor is an iFrame, which loads in a .php file. The idea is, to retrieve the text from the iFrame, and send it to another php file, to update the database.

However, whatever i try, i cant get to the data in the iFrame. Hoping i’ve explained my problem well enough, is there anyone who has an idea how to get the data in the iFrame, to a php file, to update the db with?
