Setting up online purcashing for downloadable product

Basically I am doing a site for someone who wants to sell a downloadable set of files (mostly word docs)…

We obviously don’t want them to have access to the file unless they purchase the product.

I have done online shopping carts but, never with a downloadable product. What is my best plan of attack here?
