editing data in one place, display the data in multiple locations

On my website I want to display information that gets updated frequently on multiple web pages within my website.

i.e

edit “xyz” in one place
display the data in another

further,

the product apples is displayed in multiple web pages
price for apples is $50
I would like to change the price from $50 to $70 but have it updated automatically wherever the product apples exists.

@FangMar 31.2009 — Use SSI, similar methods are available in all server side languages. For large amounts of data, database use would be recommended.
