I’m having some trouble…can someone help me? This is the set up. I need the first scene to have two buttons. When you press a button it goes to scene 2 plays, and comes back to scene 1 and the same for the other button.

Put a go to action in the last key frame of scene two's timeline. Tell the action to go to scene 1 frame 1 (or previous scene). Don't forget your stop actions.
@jdmill83authorNov 02.2003 — #I don't know why i'm not comprehending this lol...is this what i need to do? when i create the two buttons in scene 1 i have an action in the first frame telling it to go to and play frame 26 in the current scene and then i have a go to and play in frame 26 telling it to go to scene 2 frame 26. on scene two i have 2 layers, my graphic layer and an actions layer. on the graphic layer is where i'm telling it to do some motion tweening. on the actions layer i tried to have it set up to where on the first frame telling it to go to and play frame 26 in the current scene and then i have a go to and play in frame 26 telling it to go to scene 1 frame 1. where do i put the stop actions and is any of what i did right? lol
@frozenInkNov 02.2003 — #On frame 26 of the first scene take off your go to action from the timeline.
Highlight your button on the stage and apply your Action to the button (don't put your go to actions on the timeline)
on(release) gotoAndStop(orPlay)
and tell it which scene and/or frame you want it to go to. ie: scene 2 frame 26
Put your stop actions on the time line where you want your playhead to stop for each frame you want to stop it at. For example, if you have material for them to read on frame 26 put in a stop action. Then add a continue button to allow the viewer to start up the playhead again.
