[RESOLVED] making a menu out of an existing image

I have an image on my page that acts as a link. I want to be able to hover over it and pop up a small vertical css menu. All the tutorials I’ve seen show how to implement a new menu, but is there any help out there for turning an original static menu to allow a pop up css menu when hovering over it?
