website does not appear properly in safari 3.1

My website http://www.gameslayer.co.uk/ does not appear properly in Safari 3.1.

Firstly, <a> tags seem to be displayed block.

I use a news ticker which is not compatible with Safari i need to hide, the ticker is not affecting the rest of the design/ HTML or CSS, i checked.

Does anyone know why my website appears this way in Safari? Both (X)HTML and CSS are valid and site appears correctly in IE 6,7 and FF 2,3.

(Also errors occur in IE8, i’m not too bothered about fixing that, unless anyone knows quick fixes i can apply).

@liccyMay 17.2008 — about the issue..

I think will be cool if you add a js code that will style just for safary...

that happen to me once when i was building a page and for some reason if i do fix it for Safary on Mac will mess up on Safary for PC.. so what i did was create a js that will check for OS and browser and will add style base on that... the code is really small and simple... let me know if you want me to pass it a lone.

by the way I think IE8 still have some beta issues...

Hope this help..... :o
