adding to <head>

hi,
I’m trying to write a firefox greasemonkey plugin. Among other functions, I want it to add a <script src=”…” type=”text/javascript”> tag to the head, but I cont seem to figuere out how. Anyone could help me out?

theHead = document.getElementByTagName('head').item(0);

theHead.appendChild(theScript);

is better written as

theHead = document.getElementByTagName('head')[0];

because only some browsers recognise item().
